Nov. 28, 1928,

Board of Pension Examiners,
Nashville, Tenn.

Gentlemen:

I enclose to you herewith application of the widow of W. H. Jackson, pensioner, deceased. His widow is in abject poverty, is old and in poor health. She is ignorant, neither she nor any of her people can read nor write, therefore much information can not be obtained here to support her application for a widow's pension. The writer hereof knows that she is the widow of the deceased Confederate pensioner and is sorely in need of the allowance usually made their widows.

Yours,

(Signed) R. D. Riddick
