| William O. Ward, and his older brother, James W. Ward from World War I. (They were going by the names Willie and Jimmie back then.) They were the sons of Mattie Sims Ward and Christopher Columbus Ward and the grandsons of Thomas Ward and Sarah Stallings Ward. My grandfather, William, is on the left. They, along with their older brother, Thomas, were Tennessee World War I veterans from Crockett County. |
