Photos need to be sent in JPG (or JPEG) format.

You must include your first and last name in the e-mail. Unsigned submissions will be ignored. Even if we've corresponded once or twice over the years, I may not remember your last name. If you don't want your e-mail address included with your submission, let me know ahead of time.

Please include the name of the County that you want the photos added to. I add the photos for three counties, so I need to know where to put the photos.

Please change the file name of the photo to state who/what it is. If you are sending a photo of your Grandfather, John Doe, and his dog, please don't name the file granddaddyandhisdog.jpg. Name it something like DoeJohnanddog.jpg, so that I know who it is, if I need to find it on my computer at a later date. If it is a large family reunion photo from 1910 for the Jones Family, please rename the file something like JonesReunion1910.jpg.

Please send only one photo per e-mail, with a description of who/what is in the photo. If the names have been typed onto the photo (not preferred), please also type them into the e-mail. The names will only show up in the search engine if they are typed up. The search engine does not pick up the names that are added directly to the photo. I usually don't have the time to type all of the names for you, so your help with this would be appreciated.

I retain the right to alter the photos for presentation on the web site. This may mean that I crop the photo (Before & After example), or change the size of the photo to make it smaller or larger. I may also lighten the photo so that the people can be seen (Before & After example). I also enjoy touching up photos occasionally, to remove a rip, hole, scratch or blemish, but nothing drastic (Before & After example). If you don't want the photo touched up, please let me know.
