Bethel, Carroll County, Tennessee   

Bethel Community is between Beaver and Crooked Creek on land once owned by the Carroll and McAdoo families and centers around Bethel Missionary Church.  The first school, east of the church on Carter land, operated until 1912 when it consolidated with the Warbritton School.  After 1914 it became Bethel School and was discontinued in 1955.
The Carter and McAdoo cemeteries are marked with sandstones, and monuments as early as "McAdoo 1809-1824."
