of NC. He is found in the census of Carroll Co, TN, for 1830 and 1840. Children
include: Melinda (or Matilda) who m. Nathan GRANT in Carroll Co. in 1852; Jahazy
(b.1825 NC, m. Lou Vicy HOLLAND ca.1843); Espran(b.1827 NC); Sarah (b.1830 TN);
James (b.1832 TN);Emily (b.1834 TN); Isaac (b.1836 TN); Elizabeth (b.1838 TN);
and Nancy (b.1842 TN). In late 1840's Thomas and son Jahazy moved to MSand later
to TX.

In the last week of June I will be coming to Huntingdon to research these three
names. James Walter VAUGHN was born in 1892, Floyce McCLURE was born in 1894 and
they were married Nov. 22, 1914. They lived for a short time in a place called
"Buxie Storehouse" near Hollow Rock. These are are my mother's
parents. J.W. VAUGHN died 1967and Floyce McCLURE VAUGHNaughn died about 1985.
They are both buried at Hollow Rock. My grandmother's mother's name was ROGERS.
My mother is Brooxie Nell VAUGHN GREER and was born in Hollow Rock in 1915.

I am searching for information on Elder Daniel MEALS of Carroll and Henderson
Counties (Nov 25, 1971 - Jan 6, 1870) and his son, Elder Samuel H. MEALS (June
22, 1813 - December 10, 1895). Both are buried at the Coffman Cemetery in
Henderson County. Each had significant contacts with the Mud Creek Baptist
Church and financial interests in the City of Clarksburg. Samuel performed many
marriages in Carroll County after the Civil War as evidenced by the Carroll
County Marriage Records.

Please advise if you have info on the ancestry of the wife of John M HAWKINS,
Polly RALSTON b ca 1805/unknown co KY. They m by 1827/KY and had several
children in KY then migrated to TN. The 1850 Carroll Co TN census shows them
with: Milton 23/KY (I believe he went on to the governership of TN, he was
listed as a lawyer here), James M 22/TN, Samuel 20/TN, Joseph R 18/TN, William H
16/TN, Franklin 12/TN, Albert 9/TN, Cornelius 7/TN and Elvis 5/TN. I believe
Polly RALSTON HAWKINS mo and fa were John RAlSTON and Elizabeth NEELY; but can't
confirm.

Looking for information regarding the Massey family, particularly Dr. Virgil
Massey (grandfather) (born C 1896, Carroll County) (brother Hobart and sister
Nora (Kee)). I believe they had a farm in Buena Vista, then he lived in
Huntingdon, practicing medicine, from around 1920 until his death in 194?. I am
looking for data on his parents. Also, looking for info on the family of Thomas
K. Harper (great-grandfather) (a methodist minister) and his wife Lucille. They
were probably born in the 1860s or so.

Seeking information on the family of Harrison BEAZLEY who married Francis
(Fanny) DEATON in August of 1863 in Benton County, TN. They are found in the
1870 Benton County, TN Census Page 9, HH #59, "Beasley, W.H., 29 M W,
Farmer, bplace TN; Fanny, 26 F W, Keeping house, Bplace Mississippi; Leoda, 1 F
W, at home, bplace TN". Not found in the 1880 Benton County Census. Was
told they could possibly be found in either Henry or Carroll Counties. Any

Most of my family history is, I believe in Carroll County, TN with some in Wake
County, N.C. My Entire family, practically is buried at Parkers Crossing. Has
anyone heard of the Rev. Dr. John Parker b approx 1781 Wake County d approx 1861
in Carroll County. He was married to Rebecca Hilliard. I'm going off my memory
and have only been to TN twice in past 30 yrs.

left VA in abt 1840/41 and moved to Carroll Co. Tn. So all of you Wall(s) form
Carroll Co. Tn. hitch up the mule to the wagon and come on over. From there he
moved to DeKalb Co TN. in abt 1850 . Clacks and Shorts descendants are invited
