UNKNOWN ROGERS. This photo was given
to me by Laurel White and I believe it was in with other photos of the Fields
family. We cannot identify which Rogers this might be,
but we had two male Rogers in our lines that married female Fields family
members. They are :
GREEN D. BERRY ROGERS b. February 25, 1825 in
Carroll Co. TN d.August 22, 1879 Boone Co. AR who married SIDY ( Sidney )
FIELDS on March 24, 1848 in Carroll Co. TN. ( It is
believed that, GREEN BERRY & SIDY FIELDS ROGERS left Carroll Co. TN and
moved to BOONE CO. AR by DEC 1870 . )
Sidy Fields was daughter of Alexander Fields
and wife SARAH UNKNOWN. Green D. Berry Rogers was son of Basil
Rogers b. 1794 NC and wife REBECCA UNKNOWN. Green D. Berry and
Sidy Fields Rogers had 11 known children and they were :
Basil Alexander Rogers b. 1849 TN; James
Franklin Rogers b. 1852 TN; Martha Ann Rogers b. 1854 TN ; Mary Francis
Rogers b. 1856 TN ( md. Robert Nelson Pinson in Boone Co. AR ); William
Manuel Rogers b. 1857 TN; Green Clinton Rogers b. TN. ; Elizabeth
Valena Rogers b. 1861 TN d. 1862 TN; Louella Rogers b. 1863 TN ;
Thomas Napoleon Rogers b. 1865 TN; Zella Rogers b. 1867 TN; Lonzo
Rogers & may also be same person as EARNEST ROGERS also b. 1870 TN who is
listed on the 1870 Carroll Co. TN Census in Green Rogers household.;
JAMES SMITH ROGERS b. Feb. 12, 1829 Carroll Co. TN
; d. Unknown . He was son of William Riley Rogers and
Elizabeth Smith. James Smith Rogers married SARAH FRANCIS FIELDS b. abt.
1832 ( I have her listed as daughter of Smith Fields and Nancy Unknown ).
James Smith ROGERS and Sarah Frances Fields had 4 known children
per my Rogers genealogy and they were : Clinton Adkins Rogers;
Marry Vandella Rogers; William Smith Rogers; and James Newton Rogers b.
April 25, 1863 and he married Frances Marsha Kirk.
