Miss Clara Dishman born Hartsville, Tn. daughter
of Reverend and Mrs. John Wesley Dishman, pioneers in the Cumberland
Presbyterian denomination. Miss Dishman graduated from Milan High School, came
to Carroll County 1912. She started teaching at Woodland Mills, Tn. 1926
She received a B.A. from Bethel College a M.A.
from George Peabody in Nashville and studied at the Chicago Conservatory of
Music.
In her honor, a Carroll County School was named
for her.
