John W. Kelly was a farmer and store-keeper at Cedar Grove.  He was a member of the Leach SDA Church since his boyhood.
His home and store were across the road from the church.  He was first married to Mary Browning and several years after her death, 
he remarried Zettie Rosel, called Mamma Zettie by his children.
John W. Kelly and both of his wives are buried at Leach SDA Cemetery.
