Miller Gordon Browning Museum, McKenzie, TN Date: 10 Dec 1828 Land: The indenture made and entered into this 10th day of December 1828 by & between Edward & John Gwin of the one all of the County of Carroll and State of Tennes see of the one part and George S. Miller of the State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth, that the Said John Gwin & Edward Gwin for and in consideration of certain conditions in a certain covenant made and entered into by and betwee n the Said aforementioned parties bearing date the 5th day of January 1827 and for the purpose of carrying into complete Effect the conditions contained In Said covenant annotated to them the Said John & Edward Gwin they have This day bargained Sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents Doth bargain Sell Convey and confirm unto him the Said George S. Miller and his heirs forever the one third part of the interest in and to one acre of land Situate in Carroll County on the waters of Clear creek beginning on a Small Iron wood with pointers on a Small island two and one fourth poles from The north west corner of the grist & Saw mill of Them the Said John & Edward Gwin on Said creek thence running South Sixteen poles to a Stake on the west side of Said Creek, corner with maple and hickory pointers thence east crossing the creek ten poles to a Stake corner with black gum pointers thence north Sixteen poles To a Stake thence west ten poles to the beginning to have and to hold the one Third part of the intrest in and to the aforesaid Premises containing one acre of land & the improvements thereon to him the Said George S. Miller and his heirs forever in as full and ample a manner as They the Said John & Edward Gwin were by Said covenant bound to convey and as he the Said George S. Miller in law had entitled himself to the conveyance Thereof the Premises aforesaid they the Said John & Edward forever will warrant and defend against the claim or claims of all and evry Person or persons whatsoever to him the said George S.
