HISTORY :	McDonald and Son General Merchandise Store was believed to have begun conducting business in the late 1830's in Christmasville, Tennessee under the ownership of John McDonald. His son David McDonald became a partner in the business in the late 1840's and ran the store after his father's death. The date of closure could not be ascertained.
