Funeral Tuesday for William Davis

Henrietta, Tex. (Special) - Funeral rites were conducted Tuesday afternoon from Hawkins Funeral Home chapel for Walter William Davis, 79, of Iowa Park.  Rev. John Klaptenbach, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, officiated.

Burial was in the Joy, Texas cemetery.

Davis, a retired peace officer, died in a Henrietta hospital at 7 a.m. Monday after a week's illness.  He was born July 3, 1885 iin Prospect, Texas.

Survivors include his widow; one son, Cecil of Amarillo; two nieces, Mrs. Rowe Meador of Denton, and Mrs. J.E. McMillan of Breckenridge; one brother, John of Wichita Falls, and two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Liggett of Byers, Tex., and Mrs. Sid Brantley of Bridgeport,Tex.
